Develop curriculum to meet the needs of the class through the creation of assessments of various types
Serve as advisor for a group of 8-10 students that meet daily
Meet weekly with their grade-level team in a collaborative effort to provide well for their students
Meet regularly with their department to ensure streamlined curricula, expectations, and best-practice pedagogy
Performs general teaching tasks such as tracking attendance, assigning homework, grading assignments, giving feedback, and communicating effectively with students at all skill levels
Maintains regularly scheduled office hours and other faculty responsibilities
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in education or related field required, Master's degree preferred
Experience in teaching middle school
Experience with current software, current hardware, and computer applications
Demonstrates a passion for and expertise in the teaching
Eagerness to research and learn new technologies and bring them into the classroom
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
